Finding Direction
What we focus upon is helping people to be able to love well, accept love and make confident decisions in times of change and uncertainty, in life and in their work.
The term spiritual direction has existed for hundreds of years and increasing numbers of people are seeking this type of spiritual mentoring with direct application to daily life. Most people come for general spiritual direction for an hour every month or six weeks seeking confidential, trusted and uniquely fitted discernment.

The relationship usually begins with a no-obligation hour with a spiritual director to explore whether spiritual direction might be appropriate and welcome (and whether Eleanor Jane might be the right person). In her biography are links to organisations in the UK and NZ which offer directories of directors as well as a description of the experience and training she draws upon.

Some people have a concept of God. Others have a sense of a life where "there is more to this than meets the eye". Others don't, but no faith is itself a form of faith. Humans hunger for ways to create solutions. Ignatian spirituality is known for its clear processes and being very practical in contemporary ways. It's challenging.
The Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius are a specific route in which Eleanor Jane has trained for three years. They are transformative in the way they deepen awareness of each person's unique purpose and how that is expressed - or incompletely expressed. They can be made in ways to suit every timetable. Fundamental is the desire to seek spiritually (ie. beyond the material) and willingness to commit up to an hour every day (yes, like going to work with a personal trainer).
