...a weekend for people wanting more out of life at our first workshop in Motueka.
It's for you if you don’t need counselling or to fix anything. Nothing’s wrong with you or your life necessarily, but you want more out of it somehow. You feel there’s more there, but don’t know how to access it. It might be personal, or relational, or your career. Maybe it’s a sense of vocation or a calling that has never materialised in your life. Perhaps you’re just super-busy and need a constructive way to “retreat” and reflect; to take a raincheck or reorientate your direction.
This is “a retreat to advance” your life experience. Its focus is on the future, by becoming present to what is and what could be.
You will work on your own life material in a quiet haven with each step facilitated among like-minded people in a safe, confidential group format. Only the briefing phases are conducted in a group format. Personal work is private and done alone. For those who want it, there will be other reflective options including 1:1 time with Elle.

Frequently Asked Questions
More FAQs
How many people will be coming?
Our maximum is 12 people including facilitators.
Do I have to attend the whole laboratory?
You can choose to come to any or all of the workshop. Each session builds on the ones that go before, but it is possible for them to be explored as stand-alone sessions. Most people find one session is the most dynamic for them, although they don’t always know in advance which one it will be. The cost remains the same whatever sessions are attended.
Is the weekend therapeutic?
It will be beneficial, and people find coming away from daily life to look through these lenses is definitely therapeutic in a general session of well-being, but this is not therapy. Eleanor is not a therapist or counsellor and you will be asked to confirm that you are in a resourceful personal state before being accepted for the weekend.
What do I have to share with other people?
Apart from Eleanor, with whom you may choose to share details of your story, you will not be invited to share with other attendees. The group format simply enables Eleanor to reach more people and in a dynamic atmosphere that adds energy to the experience of exploration. If you were to share your story with a participant, you would need both to give and receive permission. This often happens, but it is not a formal part of a weekend which is focused on you.
How does the exploration happen?
Eleanor will offer you exercises, templates for exploration in your workbook and you can engage in different ways with these using tools from coaching and spiritual direction protocols.
What shall I bring?
You need to bring nothing at all. Everything will be provided including wifi if you need it, refreshments and meals at the usual times. Dinner will not be provided as we finish at 4pm on Saturday and Sunday to allow time for personal reflection and integration.
Can you arrange accommodation?
There is abundant accommodation in Motueka and surrounding areas that you can arrange yourself though Airbnb and at the Top 10 Holiday Park.
Can you pick me up from the airport?
Yes. A limited number of transfers can be arranged in advance to your accommodation and on Sunday afternoon after we finish, for a small fee to cover expenses. It is 43 kilometres one way. There are limited buses at the weekend.
